By signing the Agreement on Scientific and Professional Cooperation, the Croatian Institute for Cybersecurity and the Faculty of Economics in Osijek confirmed their mutual commitment to strengthening cooperation between the academic community and professional practice. The Agreement represents the basis for the development of joint programs, projects and other forms of cooperation of mutual interest.

The cooperation is focused on several areas, including the organization of seminars, workshops, round tables, conferences and educational programs, joint participation in projects financed by the EU and other domestic and international sources, as well as contributing to the modernization and improvement of study programs in accordance with the needs of the labor market. The Agreement also opens up space for additional professional training of students through professional practice, workshops, seminars and lectures, as well as for cooperation in the preparation of expert opinions, studies and other professional and scientific content.

For HIKS, this Agreement represents an important step in further connecting with higher education institutions and an additional confirmation of the Institute's focus on strengthening knowledge, competencies and awareness of the importance of cybersecurity. At the same time, cooperation with EFOS opens up new opportunities for connecting students, teachers and experts with the aim of developing quality and relevant initiatives at the intersection of education, economy and security.

The agreement was signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics in Osijek, Prof. Dr. Sc. Sunčica Oberman Peterka, and the President of the Croatian Institute for Cybersecurity, Ph .D. Drago Žagar.
